My mom calls me “baby bird” and has since I was a little girl. We decided to get tattoos together for the second time when we visited New York for Christmas. We were wandering around Brooklyn and found a cute tattoo parlor in Williamsburg, where we met Kimberly, a tattoo artist that travels and happened to be in town from Canada that day. She happened to be free and sketched this beautiful design for me (along with a baby bird in the tree roots) based off of many of the antique mirrors in the tattoo shop. Red was a clutch decision, and a good one at that.
